Tilda and daughter Honor Swinton deserved better. As did all of you for that matter. Wow, did the rain pour from the sky. Though, the film trivia quiz was no less hard-fought. And the tent was warm and dry. That’s where opening film The Souvenir by Joanna Hogg was shown. Our photographer was there as well. Take a look!

Sure, the films of Don Hertzfeldt may be perfect for a rainy day in, but if you ask us they would’ve gone great with a bit more sun yesterday. Luckily it was very cozy in the big tent.

The eight day of Pluk was just as it should be: afternoon sun, plenty of butts in beach chairs, hot tub on high, an offbeat movie on screen. Our photographer for the day took it all in.

With Buy Me a Gun, this Tuesday might have seen Pluk’s gloomiest film in the lineup. Luckily the weather was kind and the atmosphere was friendly as ever. Our photographer for the day took it all in.

Screens, screens, screens all the way down. Your phone’s screen, aimed at your friends, aimed at yourself, aimed at the news from the world outside. But when the big Pluk screen starts up, all those tiny little ones are swallowed up. Haluk took it all in.

A lot of you were deterred by the gray clouds, so the oh-so-busy Pluk Mini afternoon was followed by a quiet evening. But the diehards even sat through a tiny shower before the intermission unfazed. Our photographer for the day took it all in.

On the first Saturday of Pluk, the exciting afternoon programme All Eyes and Ears (join us again next week!) proved the ideal opening of a festival day.
Saturday 18 August 2018
On the third day of the festival, the sun was finally out in full force – and how! Our photographer for the day Martje took in all the sunlit scenes.
Saturday 18 August 2018
Music cassettes, outdated? Utter nonsense, we discovered at yesterday’s Mix Tape Afternoon, with sunny lounge sessions of both classic and brand new tapes, as well as the release of the new album by Scram C. Baby.
Thursday 16 August 2018
There were ominous clouds hanging over the Stenen Hoofd, but like every good Pluk opening night, there wasn’t a drop of rain. Our photographer for the day Thijs took it all in.

Utrecht you’ve been the best. The Vrijhaven, the tropical temperatures, lovely people and great films. Join us in basking in the afterglow with Angela Jütte’s pictures and looking forward to Pluk Amsterdam.
Saturday 04 August 2018
The food trucks were moved back, extra chairs were shipped in, and still we were full up on Friday night at Pluk Utrecht. Our photographer for the day Angela took it all in.
Admission to Pluk is usually free. Due to corona you need a ticket this year. Besides the festival we organise several special screenings with different partners. Ticket sales for these screenings is handled by the partners’ ticketing service. For more information, check: Practical info.
