Open Air Film Festival Amsterdam 2010
Every summer the Open Air Film Festival Amsterdam presents a unique selection of unreleased independent arthouse cinema, documentary, animation and shorts, attracting both film enthousiasts and professionals. Films are projected in the open air on a beautiful old harbour location in the centre of Amsterdam. Admission to all festival activities and screenings is free.

The Open Air Film Festival Amsterdam was founded in 2003 by a group of young film professionals. Dissatisfied by seeing wonderful works of cinematic art not being picked up by Dutch distributors and cinemas, they started a film festival aimed at finding new audiences for these films.

Programme
All the films that are showing at Pluk de Nacht have had success at the big international film festivals, but nevertheless never reached the dutch theatres.

Art
Just like every year there are exciting art projects on the grounds. Click here to see what is going on.

Disco and tunes
After the film there will be tunes from a different DJ every night. The DJ programming will be available on the site soon.

Daily Pluk
During the festival the festival reporters of Pluk de Nacht will arrange a fresh edition of the DailyPluk every day. In this online festival paper you will find the latest news, columns, interviews with visitors, artists and directors, atmosphere coverage, cartoons, photos of the festival and an up-to-date weather forecast. (sorry, dutch only)

Opening hours
The festival grounds, bar and restaurant will be open daily from 16.00h. As soon as it starts to get dark (around 21.30h) we start with the short films. When the sun has left us completely we start the main film.

Subtitles
Almost all movies will be English spoken or subtitled.

Location
Pluk de Nacht (Seize the Night) takes place on a former harbour site called the Stenen Hoofd in Amsterdam.

Food and Drinks
Pluk de Nacht will take care of a stuffed bar and the best snacks to fill all the hungry tummies during the festival.
